7 Day Workout to Deal with Stress


Stress is one of the critical factor in our daily life, either at home or at work. Stress management is essential part of life. A good list of activities are will help you to manage and deal with stress.

A 7 Day Workout:

When you are stressed, you have negative thoughts, feelings, and ideas. A simple way of dealing with stress is to try an activity on each day and try this for a week and you can see positive results and gain control of your life again.

DAY 1:

Call a friend for a social date, or better yet, for a walk. Studies have shown that spending time with friends and family can actually increase the number of your immune cells and improve your body resistance to diseases.

DAY 2:

Tax your brain. Do crossword puzzles, or discover a new way to drive to work. Mental activity is like muscular strength, the more you use it, the more powerful it becomes. And stretching your mind will improve brain function and decrease mental aging.

DAY 3:

Balance your checkbook. Get your finances in order to reduce your blood pressure and decrease arterial aging. Make an appointment with a financial planner if your money troubles are serious.

DAY 4:

Do yourself a favor: forgive someone. Recent research suggests that people who let go of a grudge may experience less pain, anger, anxiety and depression and may be more content than people who are unable to forgive. So mend some fences and don’t let lingering resentment harm your health.

DAY 5:

Get back to nature. In a study, postoperative patients with nature views had shorter hospital stays, were more satisfied with care and required less pain medication compared to patients with a brick-wall view. Care for your own well-being with nature walks or flowers.

DAY 6:

Get in touch with your inner Mozart. Playing an instrument for fun can help reverse the human stress response. Try strumming a few chords on a guitar, tickling the keys of an electric keyboard, or pummeling a drum for a few minutes, even if you’ve never played before.

DAY 7:

Surround yourself with photos. The look of a familiar face appears to soothe nerves and dampen the stress response, according to a new study. And finding the familiar face in a photograph produces the same effect. So keep photos on hand for when friends and family can’t be near.

Stress can also be converted to a positive force by gaining a deeper understanding of the people who are causing stress for you. When you realize that much of their behavior towards you is actually displaced frustrations about themselves, you can convert your own fear and anger into genuine concern for them.
